WorldBuild Awards: what do the winners say?
In 2018, we received a lot of positive feedback on the WorldBuild Awards. This opportunity to promote innovative products and services was very popular among exhibitors. The winners were delighted and proudly celebrated their victories. We asked some of them to share why they decided to participate in the WorldBuild Awards and how it benefited them.
Mikhail Chizhov, Marketing Director, Hansgrohe: “In 2018, we received a lot of positive feedback on the WorldBuild Awards. This opportunity to promote innovative products and services was very popular among exhibitors. The winners were delighted and proudly celebrated their victories. We asked some of them to share why they decided to participate in the WorldBuild Awards and how it benefited them. I’d like to thank the organisers – ITE – for the opportunity to participate in the wonderful WorldBuild Awards held for the first time as part of MosBuild/WorldBuild Moscow. I’m delighted that in its first edition Hangrohe received this esteemed award with our AXOR premium brand and that our product won in the category ‘Bathroom Equipment and Bathroom Systems’. We’re extremely proud to be able to declare that our innovative product AXORShowerHeaven came first. There are several elements that played their part. Naturally the professional jury assessed its merits: an innovative product made in Germany and developed by internationally recognised designers, in this case – Phoenix Design. The professional jury consisted of international designers, representatives of the press and representatives of the professional community. So our product was duly assessed both by professional designers, media specialists and also people voting on the website and the feedback of the general public. In other words, consumers voted for this product“.

Ksenia Chizhikova, Managing Partner, Arte Di Vita: “Above all, any innovative product should surprise you. It should offer something that you cannot find on the market and should facilitate life at home. It should be convenient and at the same time create added value that no other product on the market is offering. In our case, this is innovation and design. Thanks to this award, we came away realising that our designers and the architect, who created this washbasin, are moving in the right direction. We can see that this was understood by designers from different countries on the jury. We received a letter from MosBuild, and I immediately wanted to do it. It’s the simplest way of communicating and showing our products, particularly a product and product range. Our factory has revamped the design of swimming pools, technologies and equipment. WorldBuild Awards is the easiest way to show our products and make information accessible to as many people as possible, especially to design professionals and architects”.

Marat Shigapov, General Manager, Guardian: “We know that we make the best doors. However, participating in this competition was a matter of principle for us. In the current climate, a lot of people are retreating rather than striving to come up with something new. Guardian differs in that we update our range intentionally, because we believe that you can only truly be successful if you’re constantly developing. What we embodied in the DS 5 door is in fact the result of the work of a number of people who came together: designers, design and process engineers. And then you add finishing the like of which nobody does in Russia. MosBuild is the largest and best exhibition in our industry sector – doors and locks – but also the construction business. It’s prestigious. You won’t find anything better. It goes without saying that we wanted to gain confirmation that we’re the best firm at the best exhibition. Of course we wanted to participate and had to win.”.
