25 years of KazBuild: anniversary exhibition is a resounding success
The Kazakhstan International Building & Interiors Exhibition - KazBuild - was bound to be successful. Held in Almaty from 4-6 September 2018, the exhibition occupied four pavilions of the Atakent exhibition complex and was split accordingly into four sections: construction, interiors, windows and profiles, ceramics and stone. In total 288 companies from 25 countries showcased products at their stands, including the largest players in all sectors. For the first time in the exhibition’s history Germany, China, Poland, Portugal and Azerbaijan had national stands at the event.
Traditionally companies disclose new innovative products at the exhibition. For example, the Yaroslavl-based plant Stroytekhnika presented its new concrete mixer SB-146B, Germany’s Koster Bauchemie AG demonstrated new waterproofing products, while Mercor-Proof introduced us to its natural smoke exhaust systems.

Building materials, innovations and construction were the key topics on the second day. On the same day, KazBuild was proud to hold for the first time a conference dedicated to BIM Technologies, with participants including BimLib, CAD Systems, ArchiCad, Renga and many other companies. A master class by the famous Italian architect Simone Micheli was one of the highlights of the business programme events on 5 September.
