The development prospects for the sanitaryware market in Russia: expert opinions
Ahead of Russia’s largest building and interiors trade show WorldBuild Moscow/MosBuild 2018, we talked to the leading companies on the sanitary ware market about the results of the previous exhibition, the current state of the market, their products and the innovative technologies that they are using. According to the experts, overall sales on the market are growing steadily growing. This is due to dynamic developments on the housing market and consumers replacing broken or obsolete bathroom equipment. Owing to the diverse range of products currently available on the Russian market, there are bathroom fixtures available in any style.
I would highlight two trends that will determine the industry’s development over the next few years. Firstly, this is simple, intuitive product controls (in contrast to complex, incomprehensible controls) that any member of the family will find easy to figure out and convenient to use.
Mikhail Chizhov, Marketing Director, Hansgrohe Россия
It goes without saying that digital technologies are developing dynamically and soon when we surf the Internet, we will be offered products and things that we had only just contemplated and hadn't even had time to tell anyone about.
Olga Pavlova, Head of the Marketing Department, Geberit RUS
Over the next five years we anticipate stable market growth and consolidation of our positions. Digital technologies are assuredly becoming part of our lives and daily routines; consequently it is impossible not to see their influence on our market as well – now it is extremely important to keep in step with the times and use new formats in work – in communications with buyers and partners, in product presentations and in the delivery of services.
Alyona Yurievna Berestova, Head of the Marketing Department, WasserKRAFT.
Regarding sales, the lion’s share will go online. We will maintain our focus on the quality, design and functionality of our products, but at the same time will introduce “tasty” technical innovations.
Tatyana Kostareva, Marketing Director, RAVAK Russia
